Eggelicious! Boiled Goose Eggs for Easter?!

I have 6 geese. Fred the gander, Wilma his mate, and 4 other girls. They are Pilgrim Geese. They lay only in the spring time and only about 20 per goose total.

Fred is white  and his girls are grey...Wilma is not pictured...she was hiding in the loft of my garage.

A goose egg are large usually about 3 to 4 inches in length. The yolk is large orange, and the white is clear. They are very similar to a duck egg in texture, consistency, and richness of flavor.

Goose eggs are a great way to celebrate spring. I was so excited to get my first Goose egg. I love my eggs soft boiled in the morning after chores. This was a learning curve for me because of the size and consistency of the goose egg. I decided to make it easy for you, I did the trial and error so you can have the results you choose.

Boiling a Goose Egg

Start with a pot of cold water and a Goose Egg or two or three.

Bring water in pot to rolling boil that's when you start your time.

Each picture will have a time it was pulled from the pot.

Needless to say, I ate my fair share of Goose Eggs doing this, but Goose Egg Salad is awesome!
